
Understanding Worldviews
Purpose of the course:
This course will help participants to understand how they, their churches, communities and society, are shaped by different worldviews. It will provide them with tools to be self – critical whilst it will empower them to be hospitable in service, not threatened by “the other” but open to be informed and surprised by “the other”
Who may attend:
Pastors, trainers and other leaders –including those who have not matriculated, or who have matriculated but do not hold a degree / advanced diploma, and who plans to implement these courses in their own congregations or communities.

COURSE CONTENT

Module 1: A basic introduction to understand the concept of worldview

Module 2: A basic understanding of how world views are shaped

Module 3: Basic tools to read the worldviews of their churches and communities.

Module 4: The ability to describe, self – critique and deconstruct their own worldview

Module 5: The capacity to create open, safe and hospitable spaces in which to invite diverse people
