The course will focus on the spiritual contributions of the great historic Spiritual leaders within Christianity who helped shape the Churches and Societies we have today. Starting from the period immediately after the Apostolic church, we will investigate how Christian leaders’ spiritual responses to the societal problems of their times assisted in shaping our theology and spirituality of today.
This course will help participants to understand in a very introductory way, the origins and history of the Christian movement. It will highlight the main streams and traditions, contributions and contestations, and how Christianity in the global South is being expressed today.
