Purpose of the course:
Ministering to children and young people in South and southern African societies is a real opportunity. This online course equips pastors and other youth leaders to provide an effective ministry to children, teenagers and young adults within the South and southern African context as part of the local faith community. After completion of this course, successful leaders should be able to understand youth and family ministry. The course is intended to help delegates understand the why and what of Youth Ministry.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
Pastors who have not matriculated, or who have matriculated but do not hold a degree or an advanced diploma in theology; and volunteers involved in ministry.

Online course with monthly possibilities for online interaction.

COURSE CONTENT

Module 1: Biblical or Theological departure points; Developmental departure points; Ecclesiological (congregational) departure points; Societal or contextual departure points.

Module 2: Family Ministry; Children’s Ministry; Adolescent Ministry; Young Adult Ministry; and Leadership development in youth ministry.
