
PEACE BUILDING AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION - P002911
Purpose of the course:
This course is designed to introduce participants to basic concepts of and skills for peace building and conflict resolution in contexts of violence, and brokenness.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
The general public but particularly community and church leaders, counsellors, activists and people working in diverse contexts of violence and brokenness. Participants should at least have Grade 10.

Three 3 full contact days.

COURSE CONTENT:

Module 1: A Biblical vision for peace in our communities and the world.

Module 2: Tools to analyse local contexts from the perspective of peace, reconciliation and justice.

Module 3: A basic understanding of the concept of conflict resolution.

Module 4: Skills in mediation, negotiation, peace building and conflict resolution.

Module 5: Tools and resources to develop peace building networks.

Module 6: Tools for developing peace clubs, peace churches and peace organisations.
