
yOUTH MINSITRY - AN INCLUSIVE RELATIONAL APPROACH - P000046
Purpose of the course:
Ministering to children and young people in South and Southern African societies is a real opportunity. This course equips pastors and other youth leaders to provide an effective ministry to children, teenagers and young adults within the South and Southern African context, and as part of the local faith community.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
Pastors and other leaders who have matriculated and at least have a three diploma in Theology or a degree.
Note:
Students who qualify to register for an Honours or Master’s degree at the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Pretoria, can use this course as part of a structured/course work Honours or Master’s degree in Practical Theology.
Structure and duration of course:
This is a one year course, with six periods of contact tuition. Written assignments are done after every contact week. Open book tests are given from the second week of contact tuition.

Week 2: 19 – 22 May 2025/ Module 2: Family Ministry.
Week 3: 21 – 24 Jul 2025/ Module 3: Children's Ministry.
Week 4: 22 – 25 Sept 2025/ Module 4: Christian Education.
Week 5: 24 – 27 Nov 2025/ Module 5: Young Adults/Leadership.
